Dear Parents, Students, Faculty, Staff and all of the Holcomb Bridge Middle School family,

It is hard to believe that summer is almost over and our kids will soon go back to school!

As your PTA Co-Presidents, we would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the 2010-11 school year.  Your PTA board and volunteers have been busy preparing for the year ahead, and we are very excited about everything the new school year holds.

You will have the opportunity to become a member of the PTA on Information Day, which will be held on August 18th.  We encourage you to join as being involved in the PTA is both rewarding and beneficial for our children.  It’s also a great way to connect with our community.  Involved parents are vital resources for our school, so please consider joining our very dedicated faculty and staff and help our school reach its highest potential.  On Information Day, PTA representatives will be available to answer any questions that you may have.

We want to thank those parents who have been a part of the PTA in the past years, and thank you in advance for participating in whatever way is possible to help the PTA achieve our goals in the coming year.  Research shows that the more involved we are as parents, the more successful our children will be in school.  So whether simply joining PTA, fundraising, volunteering at school or attending our meetings, we need and appreciate you.

The middle school years are pivotal years for our children and active PTA involvement can truly make a difference in your child’s school experience.  2010-11 promises to be an exciting year, and we look forward to getting to know you.

Sincerely,

Sally Gay and Lulu Edmondson
Holcomb Bridge Middle School PTA Co-Presidents, 2010-11
